Medals all around

Ben, Chris and Sarah all entered the Brazoria County Science Fair this year.

Ben and Chris won Bronze medals for their poster entitled "meteors and craters"

Sarah took best in show for her work with the salinity of various bodies of water in Brazoria county.

Sarah says that she will use the savings bond that she won to go towards her first car.

Spring Play

Sarah's school put on their spring pageant today. It was a combination of Martin Luther King day...

Spring festival...

and Valentines day...

There was singing...

Sarah got to make a speech...

She stumbled over the words but made a perfect recovery...

The audience was well armed...in case things got out of control.

Then we went home and Craig showed us how to rock out on the Wii with Guitar Hero. He has got some serious virtual musician talent.

I gave it a try...I think I'm more of a virtual roady.

Daddy Daughter Dance

Dan and I double dated with our daughters this weekend at the daddy daughter dance.
The girls picked Fudruckers for dinner and then we were off to the dance.
There was limbo.

I'm less ductile than I used to be.

Texas culture

Sam and I took the boys to the Monster Trucks last night. Interesting experience...it's kinda like polo for red necks.

The stadium was packed...Monster Trucks seem to be more popular than football but not quite as popular as gun shows.

The little trucks were allowed to play while the drivers of the big trucks stopped for a smoke break. I think this is a form of Monster Truck affirmative action.

Is this a wheely?

Immediately following this shot the camera man was escorted off the field for new shorts.

Red necks love mushroom clouds
